It serves an a guide, providing information on put ins, take outs, and opportunities for overnight and multi-day trips. These descriptions are written for the experienced paddler and from the perspective of an open boater.
This website provides a supplement to existing Virginia paddling guides. Please consult other documentation before taking a trip down a river for the first time. For addtional information please see the American Whitewater website, Ed Grove's Classic Virginia Rivers and Roger Corbett's Virginia Whitewater.
The USGS Real-Time Water Data site for Virginia is a good resource for checking water levels.
